Since 1953, the year of its creation as MINERVE Medical, the company has retained its initial orientation related to designing, manufacturing and distributing medical equipment goods.

The activities at that time were connected to Human and Veterinary Medicine. Motivated by the need for specialisation, MINERVE orientated its efforts towards Veterinary Science in a large sense. Thus reorganised, the company joined forces with the Animal Health Department of the SANOFI group in 1980.

In the early 1990's, as the diversification needs of economical actors slowed down, SANOFI reorientated its activities towards its initial line related to the Medicinal Industry.

In 1993, its branch dedicated to medical equipment for veterinary surgeons was sold to an associate of the group.

EQUIPEMENT VETERINAIRE MINERVE Company, as it exists today, was born.

Its activities remain targeted towards designing and manufacturing medical equipment goods for general veterinary use. Its anaesthesia-reanimation department, specific to the Medical Research Sector, is subjected to an increasing demand which is reflected by marketing of high value-added innovating products.

A major part of its efforts is orientated towards research activities which results in the design of apparatuses whose functionalities are developed along with the new research techniques applied in national and international, public or private, research centres.

Its ability to keep up with these techniques, which are in constant evolution, represents a strong point which is reflected by the increased recognition regarding the MINERVE® brand.
